It all started several months ago. It would have a hard time completing tasks, wouldn’t be able to focus on multiple things at one time and would always freeze up. Little did I know the end would be near so soon.
My computer was dying.
I didn’t want to believe it. I was in complete denial.
“Oh, it’s just the internet connection. It’s slow,” I would say.
So, it was a just fitting that my 5-year-old laptop decided to start acting completely funky a day into BlogPaws — a blogging conference. I left it alone figuring there was just somehing wrong with the hotel’s Interent. (Despite everyone else there blogging away… denial again…)
When I got home Monday morning and tried to start blogging about my travels, my computer decided it was time to go to laptop heaven: A blue screen popped up and a ton of words I didn’t know zipped across my screen and it was over.
My computer was dead.
I was a disaster, worrying five years of photos and documents were lost. But, thankfully, the Geek Squad at Best Buy was able to recover them.
However, it launched me into Operation New Laptop — because really, what’s worse than your computer dying after a blogging conference! So, after four days without being connected to the Web world, I’m back in business with a new laptop and am ready to start blogging up a storm.
Stay tuned for some exciting things on My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much and Fun.Friends.Adventure. 🙂
