Say what you want about Twitter and Facebook, but the technology makes this large world a lot smaller, and allows us to connect, and help, people from all over the world through a few clicks of our mouses.
We’ve compiled several websites and articles that list ways you can help those impacted by the tsunami:
*CNN Link: Comprehensive list of ways you can help, as well as State Department contact information if you are looking for a loved one, and information on traveling to Japan.
*International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies: Donation information, including a text-based mobile application.
*American Humane Association: Donation information for their Red Star Animal Emergency Services program.
Please feel free to add other reputable links to help those impacted in the comment section below.
Earlier this week we told you about Petfinder’s Adopt the Internet Day in celebration of their 15th birthday.
There are tons of way to take part in the event, from donating your Facebook status to adding a badge on your blog or website.
Take the pledge to help spread the word about the event, as well as pet adoption and while you’re there enter for a chance to win a BISSELL vacuum on Petfinder’s website.
We will be traveling this week to the Global Pet Expo, the largest pet product trade show in the country. I’ll be there for two of the three days and am so excited to see all the new pet products available and share them with our readers. Hopefully, we’ll be able to do some regular and video blogging, as well as tweeting, from there. It’s always tough to write while you’re at a conference, or trade show, because there is always to much going on!
Oh, and if you like strawberries, check out these great Fresh Strawberry and Cream Cheese Bites I made this morning for breakfast. Good strawberries means Spring is on its way!
Have a great week, and don’t forget to check the fun blogs below!
