Meet and Greet Party!

We’re participating in DogTipper and CatTipper’s Meet and Greet Party today. What a great idea, right? We all write a little about us and our blogs and then post our links to a party hosted by their website. So let me tell you a little about My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much!

The short version is everything really does happen for a reason. A series of weird events — from finding Toby to winning a complementary registration to the first BlogPaws conference — has led us here.

My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much started out as a joke after friends told me I had to start a twitter account and blog for Toby, because he was to quote one of them, “having more of a social life than them.” I would take this little 12-pound chihuahua almost everywhere I could, and post pictures of him in different places on my Facebook page.

As a 5-month-old puppy he was in my arms while checking out houses in upstate New York (it’s good to have a very understanding Realtor when you do that…lol). At 6 months old he was sporting a life jacket sitting on my lap while kayaking. And, at 7 months old he was trekking around Maine.

Me and Toby on a tour boat in Portland, Maine.

Being a journalist, who as a little kid wanted to be a veterinarian, blogging was a natural progression for me. What was different, was learning there were all these emerging opportunities to incorporate my passion for both writing and animals! So now, I’m still a freelance journalist, social media consultant and PR strategist with an added niche for pet lifestyle.

So, at My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much, you will find product reviews, giveaways, inspirational stories, rescue help, safety tips, pet related news and information, as well as the latest pet products that make life easier for you and your pet.

We are based in the Northeast, where you will likely find us kayaking on a lake in the Adirondack mountains, strolling Manhattan or visiting a dog park in New Jersey!

In addition to connecting with us here, you can also join our discussions on Facebook and follow our adventures on Twitter.

Looking forward to meeting all our new pals!

  1. Helloooo! I'm stopping by via the pawty blog hop — it's nice to meet you too! Toby is such a cutie – he's a chihuahua? His face reminds me of a Sheba Inu. 🙂

    Happy woofs & weekend hugs,

    ~Bailey
