Enough With the Rain!

My poor dog loves living and being in the Adirondacks. Unfortunately, all it has done is rain for the past week. And, the week before that… and the week before that.

He sits at my back door just staring out the window at the rain…and the back yard he could be running around in.

Seriously, I feel like the only time it wasn’t raining in the past month was when we were in New Jersey to celebrate Father’s Day. I usually take Toby for a walk every morning, and in the past few weeks, he’s only been out for one once.

If you’re a frequent reader of My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much, you may recall Toby *hates* the rain. He hates walking on the wet grass and will “hold it” longer than you can imagine not to have to go outside. Last night there was a period where the rain slowed down, I took Toby outside and he wouldn’t leave the covered porch.

He’s such a little character, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. ๐Ÿ™‚

Just a quick reminder to our readers, Pedigree’s “Every Dog Deserves” Campaign goes until the end of this month.

Throughout the month of June, share on their Facebook wall, or on Twitter using the hash tag #everydogdeserves, and tell them why โ€œEvery Dog Deservesโ€ the very best. For each Like, comment, @reply, re-tweet, photo upload, etc. directed at Pedigree they will donate one pound of food (up to 100,000 pounds total).

Even if we all remember to tweet at least once a day using the hashtag, we can make a impact and help feed shelter dogs.

  1. We've had the opposite issue. Days of 102, 105, 107, 101…we've finally gotten to the point where we're under 100 degrees today, so we can go outside and play ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Claire is the same way – she won't leave the covered porch if it rains, and no amount of cajoling and luring her with treats will work! Hope the rain stops soon for sweet Toby!

  3. Poor Toby! Perhaps a trip to Sloppy Kisses in Saratoga Springs is in order. They bake their own dog treats – and Toby could pick up a rain slicker and galoshas.
