Reason #652 I love the pet community on Twitter — when something goes wrong with Toby at 1:30 a.m. I can tweet it and instantly have someone to chat with about what’s going on. That’s what happened last night.
He hasn’t been acting himself for about a week, but I put it off the extreme heat we’ve been experiencing. Once we put the air conditioning on he seemed to act a little more like himself, but last night there was definitely something wrong. He was lethargic, his stomach was making weird noises and he was just a little too mushy. Sure enough, just after 1 a.m. he got sick, was moving really stiffly and was absolutely not feeling well.
We went to the vet this morning, because he wasn’t any better. They think it’s just an upset stomach, and once he got some meds in him, he seems a whole lot better. Thanks for all the tweets! 🙂

Aw, I'm sorry he was feeling bad, but glad he is doing better. My dad had to take our Toby (the lab) to the vet, too. He has arthritis, and dad thought he might have hemorrhoids, but the vet said it didn't look like he did. Hope you and Toby are having a good week! 🙂
Poor sweetie bug. I hope it passes quickly, whatever it is. Lilly had a major barf over the weekend, but that's a story for another day. Eeewww!!!

Poor Toby!! Vets are no fun…especially when they are poking and prodding you! Glad he seems to be feeling better now and we hope he continues to get better!

I'm so glad Toby's ailment was minor enough that it only took some medication to fix. Get well soon, Toby!
Thanks everyone! He seems to be doing much better today. I joke that he and vet have a deal worked out so he freaks me out, my vet charges me an arm and leg and somehow Toby gets a cut of it 😉
