I’m finally back home from BlogPaws with Toby in my lap, but getting here wasn’t easy.

All the Amtrak trains were canceled Sunday when I was supposed to leave, but so were other people’s flights, trains and buses, so while we were “stuck,” we really weren’t.

 Kim, of This One Wild Life and co-founder of BtC4Animals, appropriately came up with the idea to tag the tweets from those of us still around #blogpaws and #extended.

And, that’s really what it was. I got to spend the morning having brunch with Felissa of Two Little Cavaliers, and then the evening/night with Kim, Amy {@BoSoxAmy} and Rebecca {@thephillydog}. Our night was sprinkled with waves, drinks and chats with others, like Ashley and Nikki from I Love Rescue Animals.

It was so much fun! But, also educational. It’s during those informal conversations where you learn how to write better, market better, exchange idea that you can’t do in a large session, pick people’s brain on how to do something a little different….. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

I did however lose a day of work, which means I lose a day of pay, but the things I learned will help my career, so I guess it all evens out. I can’t wait to share photos, videos and other fun stuff, but it might be a few days until I get to it because of catching up at work and dealing with the weather related issues here.
