This needs a little explanation. Toby is not a fan of the water at all. He won’t run in it after a toy or to cool off. Two weeks ago there was a yellow lab Toby was playing with who was loving the water. I figured he would follow him into the water. He did a little, but then quickly stopped once he started to get his paws wet.

Last weekend, I guess he was getting a little braver, because he roamed near the water all by himself. Either that or, he just wanted a drink of water. Yes, that’s right — he wanted a drink of water. I carry a bottle of water with me for Toby when we kayak, but when we’re at the lake, he refuses to drink it, and instead will only sip lake water.
