Please Help Support RBARI & Homeless Animals

This weekend our pals Janine and Bill, along with their ridiculously cute Boston Terriers Marzipan and Dubs will be participating in the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.’s 2011 Mutts Marathon to raise money for the New Jersey-based shelter.

You might remember RBARI from last year around this same time when we wrote about the terrible flooding that destroyed their shelter.

The shelter’s come a long way, but can always use help! In fact, my sorority’s alumnae chapter recently held a donation drive for them — which is where we donated most of the swag we got at BlogPaws.

You might also remember Janine from the Blogathon last year when I inadvertently hosted a girls weekend at my house while also blogging for charity for 24 hours.

She, Bill, Marzipan and Dubs always support My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much’s efforts to help homeless pets in anyway they can  — donations, publicity, sharing our content — so we would like to help them in their effort by kindly asking our readers to make a donation to their walk-a-thon page.

Even a $5 donation can help a pet looking to find their forever home.

If you’re in the area, the 2011 Mutts Marathon this weekend will feature, a walk-a-thon, dog contests, activities for humans and dogs alike, music, demonstrations, vendors, other non profits and rescues, adoptable dogs, food and fun for all of their four and two legged friends.

They will have:

* a veterinarian chiropractor offering adjustments and consultations,
* agility and training demonstrations,
* a presentation by an animal communicator and wellness consultant,
* a groomer for canine nail clipping, and
* the Bergen Community College Vet Tech Club who will offer various demonstrations.

The event will be held at Bergen Community College from 11 am to 4:00 P.M.

  1. Couldn't care less about dogs. Would certainly support this if it was to improve the lives of CATS, the nation's and world's most beloved companion, though!
