Lake Placid was the second lake, and first lake in the Adirondacks, that Toby kayaked with me on.
We have gone back a few times, as we really only live a little morre than an hour away, but yesterday’s kayaking trip there was spectacular. We have kayaked on Lake George in the fall, but never Lake Placid.
As I wrote on my other website, The Adirondack Chick, the colors were just fabulous, the water was calm, there not not a large amount of boats and the weather was incredible — not too hot and not too cold.
Toby usually sits on the back of my kayak, which can make it a little hard to take photos, but as you can see, I tried my best to grab a few shots, including a cute “selfie.”
Apparently, someone was pretty tired from our day at the lake, since this is how he spent the night when he got home!
