Last time I was going through a tough time, I went to a paint-and-sip event at my local studio. I created my most favorite piece of art. Considering I had just gotten laid off, I didn’t think it was a smart idea to spend money on a session, so, I found some chalk in my basement and started drawing on my driveway.
It was a beautiful day, so I took Toby with me. Despite walking through it a few times, he seemed to have fun, and of course because he loves attention, he enjoyed me taking photos of him with my “art.”
Hey, if I can’t find a job, maybe I have a future as an unemployed street artist.
It was actually pretty therapeutic, and considering I all I’ve been dealing with, a cheap, healthy form of therapy is a very good thing.
When was the last time you pulled out some chalk and drew on your driveway? I bet it’s been a while.
What a great idea! I’m glad it helped.
