I caught this clip on The TODAY Show.
People are pretentious, and I completely understand they just wanted to help these pups get adopted and the prettier they look, the more likely they will get snatched up — and that’s what upset me. The fact that even when it comes to dogs, who will otherwise face death, looks become so important.
For the record, I think at at least two of these dogs looked perfectly fine the way they were.
I understand how you feel.. Today is a visual society, and sometimes thats hard to deal with.
Agreed. This shouldn't be necessary. I've spent a lot of time railing against the ridiculous expectations our society places on human appearance. It is completely disheartening that we have moved this same impossible standard on to our pets. This isn't the best way to do it. Not by a long shot.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! I actually debated not sharing this, but I'm glad I did.
I have seen them do this before and I do agree with you…I also see their point but you would think the fact that these poor babies are facing death row would be enough.
I completely understand. I will never forget the Chihuahua they featured on here once. She was given up because she no longer matched the carpeting. No kidding. I think the grooming is nice, but if it gets them featured, then it's not all bad.
