I saw this message in my Facebook newsfeed today posted by PetSmart Charities and thought I would share it:

“If you know of a 501(c)3 animal welfare organization in the Northeast that was affected by Hurricane Irene and needs assistance, please direct them to our website. Guidelines for requesting emergency relief can be found at www.petsmartcharities.org/emergencyrelief or by calling 1-800-423-PETS.”
